FAQs
Will private tuition benefit me?
The short answer to this is YES. Research has shown that 1:1 personal tuition in a relaxed home environment can bring about remarkable results in a relatively short time period. (See Benefits for more information).
How much does it all cost?
The costs vary depending on the subject being taught, the level and the session duration. Discounts are available for longer sessions. (See Subjects for more information).
Where does the tuition usually take place?
The tutorials are normally taught in the learner's home residence. If this is not practical or convenient, other options are available at no extra cost. These could include my home residence, a private office or a workplace etc.
How long and how frequent are the tutorials?
Most learners choose a 1 hour lesson once a week but on occasions, longer and more frequent sessions may be booked, especially if there is a limited amount of time remaining before the examinations etc.
Will I need to bring anything to my tutorials?
This is entirely optional, as all books, course materials and learning resources are provided by the tutor. Some learners however, prefer to bring their own notebooks and pens etc.
How do I book my first session?
Arranging your first lesson couldn't be easier. Just send your initial enquiry by clicking on the appropriate link and once our contact details have been exchanged, the first session could be arranged as quickly as the next working day.
Will there be any additional work to do?
There will usually be a small amount of homework given to the learner at the end of each session. This will be normally be handed back to the tutor at the start of the next lesson, where it will be marked instantly. Homework plays a vital role in consolidating the whole learning process and it is important for the learner to attempt all the questions given. Learners are also encouraged to do some additional study in their own time, although this is not mandatory.
What if I need to cancel my lesson or rearrange the time?
This is not a problem at all. Simply contact your tutor and either reschedule the lesson or request to miss the lesson completely and resume the following week. Obviously, the more notice that you can give your tutor, the better.
Are there any additional fees to pay on top of the tuition fee?
Normally, the tutor will travel to the learner's home residence at no extra cost. If the learner lives in a remote area or is some distance away, there may be an additional travel fee to pay. This will be clarified at the initial enquiry stage before the first session is arranged.
